Welcome

Ever since I can remember I have been obsessed with photos. Some may say a little TOO obsessed. I love looking at the pictures and remembering a moment… or learning something new about the past. To this day, I love looking through my photo albums… and I smile as I remember the amazing memories of my life. Somehow the obsession with photographs turned into an obsession with photography… the ART of capturing the photograph that others will want to look at to remember a moment or learn about their past. I bought my first DSLR camera shortly before the birth of my first child in 2008. I had so much fun taking pictures of this beautiful new person in my life and became pretty obsessed with my new toy and hobby. I posted picture after picture on my Facebook page and blog and soon people were asking ME to take their photos. There was something so incredibly exhilarating about getting to be the one who captured the memories that these people would cherish forever and I instantly fell in love with being a photographer. With support from my family and friends, I started my photography business officially in 2010 after I upgraded my camera and lenses to the "big league or real deal." And let me tell you… I LOVE LOVE LOVE what I do. Nothing compares to being a small part of the beautiful relationships shared by so many incredible people (my clients!) in this world!

Here are a few more pics form little Miss Ella's shoot, she is such a doll. I had a great time working with her, it is always fun to play dress up (and no you can never be too old!). I also wanted to let everyone know that I have created a new Facebook fan page so please become a Fan. Facebook allows me to post way more photos from each session and is more accessible to clients. And I am working diligently on editing pics from the last 2 weeks sessions so please be patient, I love to play in Photoshop!

Springtime is Here!

Ellie and I went to My Big Backyard at Memphis Botanical Gardens just to play. I always have my camera ready and was able to capture a few cute shots, although she is "so over" getting her picture taken and there are rare moments when I can get a smile. The first picture is when we got home and put our jammies on, of course she was all smiles then. The weather was a bit cool, (hence the winter outfit). But, it is definitely official that spring is here, there are buds and blooms all around us. What a beautiful world we live in, we just have to take the time to enjoy! Here are a few pics from our day.

Hello everyone! I just wanted to say thank you for all of the support, I have had so many shoots the last two weeks. I am currently working on editing all of the proofs and promise to keep posting as I complete each session. I also wanted to let everyone know that I do offer custom invitations and announcements, so please keep me in mind for any future needs. I am absolutely loving my new photography ventures and it brings me so much happiness to capture those special moments. I will be updating my A la Carte print options for those interested in printing proofs. I have found an amazing photo lab that produces high quality work for reasonable rates. Here is a sneak peek of a precious little girl that I had the pleasure to shoot this week. Stay tuned!

Madison and Avery

Here are a few more shots from my shoot with Madison and Avery. I really had a great session with these girls and got so many amazing shots.

Here are a few pics from my first Springtime shoot outdoors. I had so much fun with Madison and Avery. Madison was such a little "camera diva," and I loved it. And Avery has so many different facial expressions. I loved that I was able to capture their personalities in pictures. I will definitely post more as there are so many great pics from this shoot. More pics to come!

I love to capture unexpected moments!

While waiting for the warm weather and sunshine to come our way I will be posting pictures from previous sessions to give you an idea of my style. These pics are from a fall shoot with Emma Kate at 18 months. She is so sweet and adorable too. I love photographing toddlers because their personalities are really starting to develop. Emma definitely has a super cute personality and I had a lot of fun chasing her around. Ellie Claire and I love to have playdates with Emma and her mommy because we always have fun.
This is a new year and new venture for me as a photographer because I am learning amazing new things with my new Adobe Photoshop CS4. So I cannot wait to start shooting Spring sessions and begin playing around! Until next time .......
